On July 13-16, 2015, the Third International Conference on Financing for Development will take place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The conference will gather representatives from governments, institutional stakeholders, civil society and the private sector to agree on a financing framework for the post-2015 development agenda. Outcomes from the Addis Ababa conference will be vital for the successful adoption and implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Bretton Woods Committee will convene a virtual conference to discuss the financing framework being proposed in Addis Ababa and to assess whether the commitments made will be sufficient for successful implementation of the post-2015 development agenda. Dr. Joachim von Amsberg, Vice President of Development Finance at the World Bank, will provide expert analysis on outcomes from the Third International Conference on Financing for Development live from Addis Ababa. In particular, he will discuss how the World Bank, IMF, and other multilateral development banks plan to jointly improve cooperation and coordination of their resources in financing the post-2015 agenda as outlined in their collective vision “From Billions to Trillions.”

Robert J. Berg, former Senior Advisor to UNICEF, UNDP, UNESCO and UN Economic Commission for Africa will moderate the discussion.
