St. Regis Hotel, 923 16th Street NW, Washington, DC 20006

The International Council gathers annually to discuss ways forward on pressing international economic and financial issues. Global economic activity looks brighter in 2017, but barriers still remain to sustained global growth. This year we will explore how global economic cooperation – or lack thereof – progresses or impedes global growth, financial stability, and regulatory harmonization. We will discuss solutions to persistent structural vulnerabilities, systemic risks to financial stability, and impediments to regulatory reform that continue to affect post-crisis recovery.

Speakers Include:

  • Christine Lagarde, Managing Director, International Monetary Fund (Invited)
  • Jim Kim, President, World Bank Group (invited)
  • Mohamed El-Erian, Chief Economic Advisor, Allianz
  • Francois Villeroy de Galhau, Governor, Banque de France
  • John McFarlane, Chairman, Barclays
  • Axel A. Weber, Group Chairman, UBS Group AG
  • Barbara Novick, Vice Chairman, BlackRock Inc.
  • And Other Global Leaders
