The International Council gathers annually to discuss ways forward on pressing international economic and financial issues. Global economic activity looks brighter in 2017, but barriers still remain to sustained global growth. This year we will explore how global economic cooperation – or lack thereof – progresses or impedes global growth, financial stability, and regulatory harmonization. We will discuss solutions to persistent structural vulnerabilities, systemic risks to financial stability, and impediments to regulatory reform that continue to affect post-crisis recovery. Speakers Include:

  • Mohamed El-Erian, Chief Economic Advisor, Allianz SE
  • Stefan Ingves, Governor, Sveriges Riksbank; Chairman, Basel Committee on Banking Supervision
  • Gail Kelly, former CEO & Managing Director, Westpac Banking Corporation
  • Joaquim Levy, Managing Director & Chief Financial Officer, World Bank Group
  • John McFarlane, Chairman, Barclays
  • Barbara Novick, Vice Chairman, BlackRock
