WASHINGTON--The International Monetary Fund Wednesday approved a bailout loan for Cyprus that will allow an immediate disbursement of EUR86 million ($110.7 million) to the beleaguered euro zone economy.
The EUR1 billion IMF loan program is part of a EUR10 billion joint bailout with the European Union. Euro authorities have already approved the deal, paying out the first tranche earlier this week.
