BWC's Sovereign Debt Working Group has published their latest report, Private Sector Engagement and Equitable Burden Sharing: A New Paradigm. 

This report offers groundbreaking recommendations for channeling enhanced financial resources to developing and emerging countries by fostering greater private sector involvement. 

Financing the Future Roundtable: The Role of IFIs in Development and Climate Finance

As an affiliated event to the Summit for a New Global Financing Pact in Paris , BWC organized a roundtable discussion Financing the Future: The Role of IFIs in Development and Climate Finance. The roundtable featured a cross-section of participants from MDBs, private sector, and civil society and highlighted the work of BWC’s Climate and Energy Transition Finance and Multilateral Reform working groups.
 
Key themes that emerged were:

BWC DIALOGUES – Is the competitiveness of the US dollar still relevant in today's global landscape?

"We should not assume that we, as a country, have natural advantages that don't require innovations on the edges," was Dante Disparte's parting appeal. William and Dante's conversation took the long view of US dollar competitiveness and talked about the trends of de-dollarization as well as the potentially harmful effects of sanctions and the US policy environment on overall US Dollar competitiveness.

BWC DIALOGUES – FED Up: Does the First Republic Failure Tip the Scales for Tighter Banking Regulation?

"Waiting for the other shoe to drop." The tone of our second installment of the BWC Dialogues series was decidedly less optimistic than the first. Bank of America's Hayley Boesky noted generally low investor sentiment in the wake of the regional bank failures. The panelists did find hope in the overall frankness of the Fed report on the SVB failure and felt that there were many things that regulators, not policymakers, could do in order to prevent future failures.
