In a new Member Spotlight, Gary Kleiman writes about US President Biden’s recent trip to Angola in Kleiman International. With the purpose for Biden’s visit being a visit to the US-funded Lobito rail project, Kleiman outlines the economic and political circumstances in Angola and surrounding countries. Kleiman writes, “President Biden did not raise these Lusophone soft spots during his brief stay, while longer term investors stand watch for a train wreck.”
