BWC Member Christopher Smart sat down with Bloomberg to discuss what he calls a “weird time” for the US economy, highlighting solid economic data alongside slowing growth and geopolitical uncertainty. He also comments on the rapid investment in AI and data centers, saying that while profits have yet to catch up, the long-term economic potential of AI is likely to make its growth difficult to slow. Furthermore, he emphasized that there is still relatively little regulation around AI development, adding yet another layer of uncertainty to the rapid pace of investment.
