Roundtable: The Future of Payments: The Role of IFIs in Creating a Global Fast Payments System

The discussion endeavored to get a wide range of perspectives on the work of BWC’s Multilateral Reform Working Group (MRWG), looking at the governance and infrastructure gaps in implementing a well-integrated, low-cost global payment system. Given the emphasis on digital transformation and infrastructure during Brazil’s G20 presidency, and the Banco Central do Brasil’s implementation of Pix, we were eager to hear how Brazil is approaching this task.

Keynote Address: William C. Dudley 

The Bretton Woods Committee Chair, William C. Dudley, gave the keynote address alongside BWC Member Joaquim Levy, discussing the implications of the rate drop on future Federal Reserve policy and for emerging market policy responses.
