In commemoration of a remarkable career in public service and global economic leadership, BWC Advisory Council Member Jean-Claude Trichet has been named in the 2026 Legion of Honour class, France’s highest civilian honor. This recognition reflects a lifetime of lasting contributions to international financial stability as Former President of the European Central Bank and Former Governor of the Banque of France. 

The Bretton Woods Committee extends its congratulations to Mr. Trichet on this well-deserved recognition.
