In a recent New York Times opinion article, BWC Board of Directors Member Rebecca Patterson shares her prediction for a future rise in inflation based on the current bond market. She warns that many of the enacted and proposed policies of the new administration in the U.S. are soon to be felt by consumers and investors alike. “Already, financial markets have reduced their expectations of Fed cuts in 2025 to one or two, compared with five or six just three months ago,” Patterson writes.
