David Lubin is the Michael Klein Senior Research Fellow at Chatham House, where his research focuses on China, economic policy, and the international monetary system. Before joining Chatham House in 2024, he was Managing Director and Head of Emerging Markets Economics at Citi, following an earlier career as an economist at HSBC.

He holds degrees from the University of Oxford and Tufts University and is the author of Dance of the Trillions: Developing Countries and Global Finance, which was selected by the FinancialTimes as one of the best economics books of 2018.
