Michael Fratantoni serves as Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of Research and Business Development at the Mortgage Bankers Association, where he oversees industry surveys and benchmarking studies, economic and mortgage origination forecasts for single-family and commercial/multifamily markets, and affordable housing initiatives. Prior to joining MBA, he held positions at Washington Mutual and Fannie Mae.

Fratantoni serves on the Board of Directors of the CONVERGENCE Collaborative and the Annual Giving Board at the College of William & Mary. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. in Economics from the College of William & Mary.
