Today we welcome new member Laurie Schaffer to BWC!

Laurie Schaffer was the Acting Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions at the U.S. Treasury Department. She advised on Treasury’s borrowing authorities, debt issuing activities, financial markets oversight, regulation of the government securities market, and issues affecting the financial services industry.

Previously, she served as Deputy General Counsel on the Federal Reserve Board, as well as vice president and general counsel at Charles Schwab before joining Treasury in April 2008.

We appreciate her support for our work and mission, and we look forward to her engagement!
