In a new article for Project Syndicate, BWC Vice Chair William Rhodes and Group of 30 Executive Director Stuart Mackintosh urge Congress to reassert control over tariffs. With the United Kingdom as an example of the negative consequences of fiscal and economic nationalism, the authors worry that tax increases, soaring prices, and a recession are inevitable.
