As we inch closer to the upcoming Group of 7 Summit, BWC Vice Chair Rebecca Patterson joins BWC Member Heidi Crebo-Rediker and the Council on Foreign Relations for a discussion on the potential outcomes of this highly anticipated event. Their conversation covers the importance of the Summit’s discussions on global imbalances, as global imbalances have significantly worsened over the past few years. Patterson also advises economists  and investors to watch for whether we see more or less collaboration among the convening G7 countries. Ultimately, Patterson states that the most important thing the G7 can do is avoid showing any disagreement over currency policy, as this would be destabilizing across the global economy. The upcoming G7 Summit will be fundamental to the global economic decisions and relationships to come.
