Private credit is key to keep Main Street moving 

In a recent Financial Times article, BWC Member Roger Ferguson argues that private credit fills a key financing gap for middle-market businesses as bank lending has become more constrained. It supports jobs and economic growth by funding companies that lack access to public debt markets. Despite concerns about systemic risk, the sector is considered relatively stable due to lower leverage and long-term investor funding.
