BWC’s Spring Summit 2026 ended with a panel featuring Arancha González Laya, John Lipsky, and Mari Pangestu on the evolving nature of multilateralism. Across development, trade, and economic policy, they highlighted the need to manage divergence and spillovers, make tradeoffs explicit, and sustain cooperation through pragmatic engagement. Despite fragmentation, they agreed multilateral institutions remain essential. With this panel, BWC launched Rebuilding International Cooperation, a year‑long policy and convening initiative that seeks to develop a practical roadmap for renewed international cooperation.
