The Advocacy Triangle: Why Credit Unions Need a Global Voice

BWC Member Paul Andrews develops the idea of the advocacy triangle for the credit union movement in a recent article published in CUInsight. He describes advocacy as a triangle because it operates at three levels: local, national and global. He highlights the key role played by WOCCU, the World Council of Credit Unions, which ensures that the credit union perspective is taken into account at all levels. According to him, this work is essential because “when the movement works across levels with a unified voice, it becomes stronger.”
