A new Atlantic Council piece by Hung Tran and Barbara C. Matthews assesses the extent to which various countries are adopting stablecoins and digital currencies. The authors write, “The prospect of quickly expanding the dollar-based stablecoin market after the Senate passed the GENIUS Act raised alarm bells, particularly in China and Europe.”
