UK must act more swiftly to develop stablecoins

With a 72% increase in transaction volume in 2025, integrating stablecoins into economic strategies is becoming a priority. While the United Kingdom has been more cautious than other economies in responding to this new development, Circle’s Dante Disparte believes it can capitalize on this second-mover advantage in stablecoin regulation. According to him, “the UK has an opportunity to take the best of the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets regulation and the US Genius Act, while making it distinctly British.”
