About the Host: Emily Slater

Emily Slater is the Executive Director of the Bretton Woods Committee. She previously served as its Deputy Director for six years. Prior to joining BWC, she worked in international development overseeing a range of programs including youth development, education, environment and agriculture, and health across several countries including Brazil, Jamaica, Peru, El Salvador, New Zealand and South Africa. Emily holds a M.A. in International Development from North Carolina State University and B.A. degrees in Sociology and French from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She currently serves on the Steering Committee for the IFI Working Group in Washington, DC.

Brettonomics with Nancy Jacklin

In this educational podcast from the BWC, Nancy Jacklin, longtime BWC member and former US Executive Director of the IMF, sits down with experts for the benefit of non-experts interested in the Bretton Woods Institutions and other IFIs because of their educational pursuits, employment, or just their curiosity. In this way we hope to increase knowledge of, and support for the institutions – which is at the heart of our own mission.

About the Host: Nancy Jacklin

Nancy previously served as the United States Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund. She also worked as a Partner at Clifford Chance, LLP in New York where she was an advisor on international finance and financial regulation issues. Prior to that, she worked at Citibank N.A. as Sector Counsel and Associate General Counsel. In addition, from May 1982 until January 1985, Nancy served as Assistant General Counsel for the Federal Reserve Board of Governors and as an attorney at the US Treasury from 1973-1982. Nancy was also a Professorial Lecturer at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies from 2007-2014. She is a graduate of the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and the Georgetown University Law Center.
